Fantastic one day at the Grand Moon Palace visited 04/2019

  

This has been our 4th visit to the New Grand. We have been members of the Palace Resorts Life for five years. We love our Palace membership.
Shortly after we arrived we were greeted by Senior Rodrigo Gomez the F&B manager at the main hallway of the Grand. The main hallway is very impressive, very open with really fantastic lights fixtures. There is a main corridor on both sides where all main restaurants are located.
It is always great to see familiar faces. Right after we took a nice stroll to the Caribeno restaurant which is located right by the Beach Club close to the beach.

We saw the Golf cart transportation supervisor Roberto again. The Grand is a very big resort. Roberto and his team are always ready to help and all that was greatly appreciated by us.
We always start our day with a nice outdoor breakfast at the Caribeno restaurant, which is located right by the beach.The restaurant has the best patio with the view of the ocean. The food is always phenomenal and plenty to choose from, starting from traditional Veracruz region created by the chef Francisco to the modest, international dishes. Francisco is a new chef with the new vision and he is very creative. Jesus the Caribeno manager and chef Antonio were there too- great surprise. Caribeno is our favorite outdoor restaurant for breakfast at the Grand. We had a very nicely decorated table ready for our breakfast waiting for us. Thank you.

Service at El Caribeno is at the same level throughout the last 5 years we were visiting Caribeno: great, polite, and happy. Everyone was eager to help with the smile.

After breakfast we moved to the beach by the Beach Club which is in front of the Caribeno restaurant pool. The club is run by Rafael Rueda and his team : Izrael the beach boy, pool concierge Kenya, Enrique,waiters Irene and Pablo. It is always great to see our friend Senor Mosar. Our cabana was right at the front of the ocean- perfect location. Everything what we could see was the ocean.
We always loved to hang out at the Beach Club there , the bar is almost at the beach , you can listen to cool music and relax away from the crowded pool areas. The beach is very open with many beach chairs, cabanas for guests to use. There are some sections for Palace Members but also plenty of space for non members. The beach is open and wide for many different activities.
Unfortunately our favorite DJ, Ulises does not work there any more, he was a great addition to the Beach Club, we really enjoyed his tunes and his happy attitude.

For lunch we went to El Caribeno again.Chef Francisco presented a new line of the traditional mexican food from Veracruz state. It was absolutely phenomenal. The explosion of different spaces, tastes were unprecedented. The presentations and stories behind every dish were super interesting and very educational.
Thank you chef Francisco and Caribeno manager Israel for this opportunity to be able to witness this phenomenal moment during our vacation at the Grand.

Late afternoon we went to the hospitality room where we could get ready for our dinner. The rooms at the Grand and beautiful with marble floors and very comfortable beds. Unfortunately the views from the rooms are not as good as at Nizuc or Sunrise.
Our dinner was at the Chateau restaurant, all adults place.

At the dinner at Le Chateau we had a fabulous experience with very helpful waiter Lazaro. sommelier Mauricio, chef Marco and Victor the manager Manager. The vibe and the style is very
different than at the different restaurants at the Grand.The Le Chateau is upscale and very quiet we like that way very much.Our entire dinner was very remarkable. The food here is more sophisticated with a unique presentation, very classy.
I have one suggestion only... during our dinner the sauce from the duck was overflowing my flat plate , all sauce was on the tablecloth and around the plate, there was a mess.
There has to be a plate with the edge up so the guests will not be losing any sauce out to the table. There was a messy picture. After talking to Lazaro ,he covered it with a lot of white cloth napkins.
The Grand has a nightclub “ Unique” for all guests to enjoy, you can dance your night away.
Thank you all for your hard work.I hope to see you all in April 2020 ...we will be coming back to celebrate our wedding anniversary again.
